We all need ideas. We all need inspiration. I won't shy away from accepting that a lot of times as someone responsible for planning retention marketing campaigns, I run out of ideas and my mind is saturated. All I do sometimes is refer to some past campaigns I have run. Well, that's a limited resource to refer to. At times we are setting up new email flows or email journeys for various abandonment and events on the website or app such as sign-up, abandoned cart, abandoned checkout, order confirmation, and replenishment emailers, and we don't know where to start. Some other day, we are starting Day 1 in a completely new industry and need ideas on what similar brands in the industry do. It was the same for me when I joined a SaaS company and it was the same when I joined a food and beverages D2C e-commerce company. There comes times when we are required to market for an upcoming occasion, festival, or holiday be it an upcoming sale, product launch, etc., or Christmas, Black Friday Cyber Monday, Independence Day, Diwali, or Eid.

In such cases, it would be nice to know about a few sources to refer to. Below are some excellent such sources.

This is a community of over 168K+ users with more than 10,000 email examples to get inspired from. Searching for an email is as simple as typing in a keyword associated with the kind you are trying to look up. It has also got pre-listed filters on the basis of behavior, promotion, industry, inaugural (launches), enhancements (with new trendy elements), etc., and several sub-filters. It also lets you the subject line and the brand the email was from.

Well this is more than just emails, this covers ads, social, landing pages, and whatnot. Excellent ideas and copywriting examples to get inspired from. Again, a lot of organization is in place i.e. you can apply pre-applied filters for type of content, style, and audience. Like the previous source, this is has both B2C and B2B examples.

A really simple-to-use library for text-based emails. We don't realize it but for some audiences, text emails work better than creatives as it gives them a break from salesy-looking creatives and feels more personalized. You can search through typing in your keyword or choose from the ones suggested on the website.

text based email examples

This is an excellent source for B2B SaaS-related email marketing campaigns. A majority of the examples are sales outreach. You can scroll down through the examples right now there's no way to do a search or to filter the examples.

b2b sales email examples

This is a library of editable HTML email templates, some of which are free and some are paid in order to edit. But all in all, an excellent place to get ideas for your email marketing campaigns. You can access several collections based on holidays and festivals, usage, and industries.

This is by far the best-organized collection of emails. The library is curated on the basis of several categories of emails based on different stages of a product lifecycle or different stages in the customer journey of an e-commerce website. It also has collections based on different trendy elements such as countdown timers, gifs, etc. Well, when it comes to getting ideas for different occasions that come by the year like Black Friday Cyber Monday, and Christmas, it has got that too.

email love email examples

Well, we have talked a lot about email campaigns but what about email journeys (aka email flows, email automation)? Yes, the above sources do provide examples of flow emails like abandoned carts or subscriber welcome emails. However, this website apart from being a wonderful source of flow emailers, does an excellent job by organizing them as collections basis the journey and the brand. It has an awesome set of filters that help you get results using the type of subscriber (the flow recipient - new subscriber, demo requester, abandoned sign-up, etc), the type of business (e-commerce, SaaS, etc.), and by brand names.
